LegPress Dropset Hell!

SO I WANTED TO REALLY TAKE IT THERE TODAY AND MADE USE OF A FEW FRIENDS I MADE IN THE GYM. THANKS FOR HELPING ME OUT LADS. WE WERE RUNNING DROP SETS AFTER A KILLER SESSION TRYING OUT THOSE BOX SQUATS. IF YOU DON’T ALREADY KNOW ABOUT DROP SETS WHY NOT GIVE IT A GO.

For this one in particular I did:

  • 9 Plates / 360kg
  • 7 Plates / 280kg
  • 5 Plates / 200kg
  • 3 Plates / 120kg
  • 1 Plate / 40kg

For the first set, I tried as many as I could do without risking tearing or breaking something. Anything under 6reps will be building strength. I say this as I have found this personally true to my training. After this I went down by 80kg each time attempting as many reps as possible on each set. Arnold Schwarzenegger once said…

“The last three or four reps is what makes the muscle grow. This area of pain divides the champion from someone else who is not a champion. That’s what most people lack, having the guts to go on and just say they’ll go through the pain no matter what happens”

I try to keep to this way of thinking with all training days. The distance between great and average is inches, I understand I need to suffer in order to obtain those inches. Al Pacino explains perfectly about these inches. CHECK IT OUT HERE.
